Privacy Policy

Your information,
handled responsibly.

This policy explains what information Powers Bail Bonds LLC collects, how we use it, and your choices — including about text messages. Effective October 2, 2026.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly when you apply for a bond, sign bond paperwork, check in with your agent, enroll in a class, or contact our office. Depending on which form you use, this can include: your name, phone number, address, date of birth, driver's license number, employer and vehicle information; a defendant's and any cosigner's information for a bail bond; signatures collected electronically; photographs and location data submitted during a bond check-in; and payment or premium information when you use our payment link. Providing a Social Security number is always optional on our forms. We also keep internal records of Powers of Attorney issued to our agents, which is office recordkeeping and does not involve the public.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number — on a bond application, the Second Chance Initiative application, a check-in, or any other form — we and our agents may contact you by text message. For anyone who signs our Bail Agreement, Section 14 of that agreement, Text Message Consent, states: by providing a mobile number in the Agreement, you agree to receive text messages from Powers Bail Bonds LLC about court dates, payments (including payment links), and check-ins. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of the Bond — and the same holds for every other form on this site: consenting to receive text messages is never a condition of using our services, and you can always ask to be contacted by phone or mail instead. Mobile numbers and text consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing. These texts are sent through our text messaging service provider, Twilio, which only uses your number to deliver messages on our behalf. You can review the full text of the blank Bail Agreement, including Section 14, on our Bail Agreement page. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to evaluate and write bail bonds, prepare and execute bond paperwork, manage check-ins and court date reminders, process payments, enroll students in our pre-licensing and continuing education courses, respond to inquiries, and meet our obligations as a licensed surety agency under Missouri law, including the recordkeeping and reporting that law requires.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to do business: with the underwriting surety company that backs a bond; with courts, law enforcement, and state regulators as required by law or the terms of a bond; with service providers who help us operate, such as Netlify (our forms and website host), SwipeSimple and Stripe (our card payment processors), Twilio (our text messaging service provider), and Resend (our email service provider), who only use your information to perform that service for us; and with a professional advisor, such as an attorney or accountant, when necessary. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us, including transmitting form submissions and signed documents over encrypted connections. We keep bond, payment, and compliance records for as long as Missouri law and our surety agreements require, and other information for only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.

Your Choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or opt out of text messages at any time (reply STOP, or call our office). Some information, such as signed bond paperwork, must be retained by law even after a bond is resolved.

Children's Privacy

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
